Accomodations

The Holiday Inn Downtown Missoula (direct booking link; not mobile compatible) has a block reserved for the Climate Summit.  The cutoff date is August 7, 2017.  The booking code is CSM.  This motel is in the heart of Missoula's downtown.  The Holiday Inn has an airport shuttle.  The walk to campus along the riverfront path is about 20-30 minutes to the University Center.   Missoula's city buses are free and there is a nearby bus stop that will take you to campus.  Buses run at least every 15 minutes (Routes 1 and 12). It is a short walk across campus to the University Center from one of the bus stops on Arthur Avenue.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Missoula - Edgewater has about 15 rooms currently available at the government rate.  This motel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the University Center on the University of Montana Campus.  The Hilton has an airport shuttle.  Downtown Missoula is a short walk to the west down the riverfront path and has many nice restaurants.

If you are adventurous there are a number of commercial vendors that rent bicycles. Missoula has an extensive bicycle path network.  About 10% of Missoula's population commutes by bicycle.  It is a good way to explore Missoula and surrounds.

Campus and Campus Parking

The Climate Summit will be held in meeting rooms on the 3rd floor of the University Center on the University of Montana campus.  The facility has open guest wi-fi, and many other services.

Parking on the University of Montana campus can be challenging, but not impossible.  See the University of Monana parking map for details.  The Climate Summit is at the University Center.   Parking Lots A, F (east side), R-1 (1st and 3rd floor parking garage only), C, or B are nearby.  Arrival before 8 am should assure that you can easily find a parking spot.   The Montana Climate Office will have day passes available for you at checkin to place on the dash of your vehicle.

Food Services

The Climate Summit will be held in meeting rooms on the 3rd floor of the University Center on the University of Montana campus.  The Montana Climate Office will be hosting breaks during the summit and lunch on Thursday, September 7th.

The University Center has a number of food vendors.  The University of Montana Dining Services lists a number of options.  The Food Court in the University Center has a variety of options.  The University Center Market offers may options as well.   There are two cafes just off west of campus - The Buttercup and the Liquid Planet Grille.
